What did you do with your flock today?

Super, SUPER windy today so I hid inside for some of it. Did pick some fruit, got visited by my silly guy

the wind was catching the tarp and it was going up and down in elevation by about a foot which only made Forest happier. Funniest cat ever.

Sewed some bags and pretty much left the feathered gang on their own freeranging most of today.

Saying goodnight my girls look beat. Floppy, floppy combs ☹ Hope the mosquitos got blown far, far away today so we can all get a break this eve. Need to deworm and then build them back up. Poor babies ♡♡♡

Forest looks so utterly content living his best life!! 😍 Ahhh the island life! 🥰 Hope the mosquitoes are long gone now! Nasty buggers!! I need to build some bat boxes and let them go to town! 🦟 jerks! Your chicken babies still look pretty happy too—just annoyed by the irritating bugs! ❤️

Oh geckos are on patrol but I would need a hundred of them just in the coops. Chickens would like that 😉

Wow super cool you can make bat boxes! Please share when you do. 🦇🦇🦇

Ugh. I'm stressing this morning about my birds. I want to save my yokos but keep asking myself if it's really possible. Can I really keep all my other birds safe if I keep the yokos? And if I vaccinate and keep the yokos, will my other birds eventually still end up carriers of the sickness causing strain my yokos now carry? And if I can find someone willing to take illness carrying birds or cull my poor babies...should I wait a month, test my other birds, and then vaccinate if they're disease free? Which is more important to me...saving my yokos or keeping my dwarfs a breedable flock?

Had to have a fasting test done this morning so haven't had my coffee yet. Maybe I should go drink a cup and see if it helps me think clearer. Feeling inclined to a more emotional reaction this morning. 😩

I know this misery and I am so sorry you have to deal with it :( Have you gotten the lab results back? I would wait and test again--I always take care of my show birds before moving to the general population to limit exposure as much as possible....but you know, I bring in a lot of birds from different places after shows and none of them in those pens have shown any signs of the MG or other stuff going on in my flocks! I'm so sorry you have to go through this trauma too...it's the worst. :(

I may have missed a post or forgotten...did you confirm they have mycoplasma? Or is it something else?
How did you give about testing them for it?
