What did you do with your flock today?

Sorry…explain the vaccine…are you getting another bottle or are you able to keep that vaccine until your next ones hatch? I’m still trying to decide how to do mine. I currently only have 5 that have made it this far. I am on day 15 and need to figure out what I’m going to do. I ask though because I thought it had to be used the same day.
It does. This was the mg-bac vaccine so you warm to 72 then use with in two hours. I knew I had to either wait until my incubators are empty or do two rounds and they recommend two rounds. So I ordered two at once so only one shipping cost.

Editing to add I ordered through Jeffers because I had a coupon. Overnight shipping was $25

Oh shucky darns @ChicksnMore ! That is super cool of you.
Hey congrats on the vaxxes and the soon to be incubator breather. That must feel kind of nice. Give you a minute to take it all in.
Breathers are good 👍. The eggs in the incubators are oegb's and dwarfs I was hatching for three people. Not sure what I'm going to do with them now. Hoping with them freshly vaccinated and never outside, I can still sell them. I'll give them the details and let them decide. 🤷‍♀️

Anyone here use shredded paper with their chickens? I had boxes and boxes of stuff to shred from girl scout days. I ended up filling 2 feed bags to the packed brim with it and I'm trying to find a use for it. I tried it in the nest boxes...chickens loved it and I hate it there...lol.
Anyone have any ways they use it and like it for?

I hadn't personally no.
Have you thought bout composting it?

On a different note....Daisy is laying leather eggs (shell-less eggs) now...she's had 2.
On another thread they said to give her a whole calcium citrate pill in her beak.
Have yall ever given pills to your chickens?
Guess I'm wondering if I do it like ya do when I'm ya give a dog a pill and you rub their throat to help it go down.

I've never given a whole pill. I do sometimes crush a pill and add it to a wet mash. If you want to make sure just Daisy gets it, I'd separate her with the wet mash.
Hope her leather eggs are very temporary!

I just give them the whole pill, the smaller birds I’d maybe break it in half. Crush it in some yogurt helps it get to her body faster, but since I have to give them one/day it was just easier to give the whole pill. They can handle it 😁

Thanks yall @ChicksnMore & @kurby22
I never would have dreamed I could get her to do that on 2nd try! Insane!
Cuz with Lizzie I crushed it up and put in with all her meds when she was sick.
But I cut it in half and held her between my knees and popped it in and it was gone!!!
Amazing!
I’m glad it worked and she took it easy! 🎉🎉
