What did you do with your flock today?

SOO cute!! I have big plans someday to do exactly this! Goats and mini cows for dairy products, chickens for fun and eggs, and a big garden of food we can grow ourselves! I am super impressed you are already on that path! Well done!
Thank you! I ordered seeds for my start for the grains part of the garden. I’m super excited about it but so nervous cause I have never done it and my mom didn’t either. Grandparents might have since
my grandpa was in the Great Depression and I don’t think my grandma was far behind him. I kinda remember her talking about it. But they aren’t around anymore to ask. I want mini moo moos too for milk also. Getting my hands on them is going to take a little longer.

Mom's have to admit to things they did too! I was 18 before my mom told me my yellow budgie didn't miraculously change colour to green while i was at school...:lau
My mom doesn’t have a whole lot to admit from when I was younger…. At least not like that. However….she did tell me once how big of turd she was. I was probably 2/3(from what she told me) and my bedroom was down a hallway. And I did NOT like the dark. Well I guess one day, my brave little self, decided to go to my bedroom by myself for the first time ever. So what do my parents do?!?!?!? Turn out the light and hide. Yup they hid from me while I’m calling for them in the most quit voice ever.

This was probably the start to me being mean to my sister…..we were loading up wood once that we had cut up. Well she touched fungus on the tree. She freaked out not knowing what it was, and asking.
I said: “oh you didn’t touch that did you”
Her”yes”
Me”Oh no….well now your figure is going to turn black and fall off”
She didn’t sleep all night.

Good morning gang!
I love lizard ball myself!
Reading what you all feed your chooks is making ME hungry. Mine def arnt that lucky but they do get house fruits and veggies for sure and an afternoon or evening call with a Piñata scratch.

Well, I have my first prolapse and it is bad. Jellybeans has an external egg in her prolapse so needless to say I am beyond concerned. She is a top 5 favorite and losing her will hurt so needless to say- I have my hands full today. Wish us good luck all.

Feral hen is freed. Yippee!!
Today is wet but not awful.

@ChicksnMore YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! Love it and thanks for sharing with us you little creative genius!!
I’m sorry about Jellybean….I sure hope you can help her!!!

So, how would you use broccoli or kale or even radish as micro seeds? Maybe I’m reading into it too much to understand. I normally give them this from my garden when it is up and going but the micro greens I guess has me stumped. I mean, I have seen the micro seeds on Amazon but how would I go about having my own seeds without buying it. Maybe there really isn’t but figured I would ask.
You can let your plants go to seed, then collect them. Same principle/process to sprout those other seeds. It would be cost prohibitive to buy them to sprout for the chickens.

Have fun with those! Grains are nothing more than another kind of grass seed, just bigger, IMHO. I always get straw that eventually grows some wheat grass, I think is what it is.

I want to try this too…but I figure I will start with this stuff and go from there. Some of the seeds I got can be feed too for the chickens or goats.
