What did you do with your flock today?

Help! @Shetland lover and anyone else. My Brahma that I just cleaned off yesterday is not well. Her poop is watery, and now some reddish pink staining, urate threads. See photo. She just shot this out. She isn't interested in eating. Has drank water. I have her inside. She is lethargic, separated herself from flock yesterday and this morning. Her crop was pretty empty except for the water she drank, and a little gas which came up when I massaged it. Nothing hard in her belly. Eyes, nares, vent look normal. She had some Greek yogurt and a little bit of cracked corn last night, but hasn't eaten since. She is 1.5 years old.
How should I proceed with treatments, what kind? I have amprolium, albendazole, fenbendazole. Her water is an electrolyte solution.

When was the last time she was de-wormed? Is she a little pale? Or is that the lighting?

I'd do the 9.6% corid because you don't see any worms.

Oh @PopoMyers she's beautiful and that breathing .... she looks alot like my Lizzy did when she was sick but poop wasn't the same. Sure hope u r getting help on BYC in emergency thread!

@TropicalBabies I am so glad u brought up spurs!!! Hope Spider heals up well from losing his! Does he act like he's in pain from it?
Reason I'm glad u brought it up is cuz Joey's are so long and sharp and I wonder if that's part of the reason the girls scream when he comes near. I mean that's gotta hurt! And if yall could see my own legs you'll ageee...it ridiculous

@FBMcrazy8 we got more storms heading in now...we hit 86 yesterday so I knew it was bound to happen. Supposed to get down to 46 tonight...glad I'm still carrying my 100 tomato plants everywhere I go lolol!
Glad yall survived the storms....sorry you had a family members place get hit. Ya never know what the weather is gonna do and usually the skilled folks try but...yeah

Ok, I gave her a dose of Valbazen, which she took like a champ. Is it true that adult chickens generally don't get Cocci, mostly chicks?

Corid goes in water and works by mimicking thiamine (Vitamin B1)

If Valbazen is oral and doesn't do what Corid does, then it should be fine.

Thank you for your help. I gave her a dose of Valbazen (albendazole), works on round, tape, broad spectrum). We'll see how she is in the morning. ing it is the correct medicine.

We did the pee trick. Our neighborly resident fox then proceeded to pee where we peed...not only hilarious, but his potent pee (smells a bit skunky) is what I believe really keeps the rodents away from the coop...well, that plus he hunts them.

I know people think I'm nuts that I actually love having foxes around, but if you've ever seen a Fox tilt his head listening intently to the ground, then do a high jump pounce, and come up with a nice, fat rodent in his mouth...well, it's kinda adorable & I do appreciate the dude's rodent duty efforts. My flock is safe in predator proof pens & coop, Foxy has never even tried to dig a hole, he just hunts rodents & kinda follows me around sometimes, accompanies me to my 1/4 mile walk to the mailbox & lays down at the firepit when I have a fire going. & No I do not feed him (my neighbor does, though). When I take photos of sunsets, he sits & gazes at the sunset with me. He also chased off the coyote...now that is one mean dog there, coyote boy ran right up to the pens, was looking at my flock & licking his chops, even gave me a shiver.

My Foxy...he thinks he is my dog. I told him he's a good boy taking care of the rodents but don't get any idea about chicken dinner. Well, since I've moved here & had Pigeons since 2006 & Chickens since 2015, my neighboring fox family & their kits have been awesome, somehow we've got a lucky synergy here. Tons of wild rabbits here too, foxes have only gone after moles, mice & rats. Go figure. Now if I could only teach him to chase off hawks. The Crows do, but they don't patrol here daily.

Your foxes are just beautiful! Never had had a problem with them either although we have a vixen patrols through here twice a day. Elliot, my enormous cat, absolutely loves her. He loves dogs in general. His sister definitely doesn't.

And just a thought i.wanted to share...idk if it would work but at this point I'd try anything!
Have your DH and any other guys pee all around each of the areas. Lady that does my hair had something come up broad daylight and rip head right off her hen.
Her sons and DH did that and nothing has been back since!

I tried this with absolutely no success. Guess our rats are too habituated to humans.

Falling is a real scary thing the older we get. Hoping you have lots of help to accomplish what you need to. We are the injured twinsies. Ask for help. Surgery aftermath is not fun at all. Sometimes our pride gets the best of us and we think we can still do things. The struggle is real. Get well soon. Healing prayers for you. We'll be free at about the same time.

Is it your left or right hand you've had surgery on? Just thinking if we've got a good hand each...
