What did you do with your flock today?

The
@PopoMyers how is the rest of your flock doing? Worms and parasites effect your whole flock. So keep an eye on them. May not have been the issue but no way to tell w/o looking and even then.. don't know what if you will find anything.
How are you doing? Tuff loss of a very pretty girl ♡♡♡ To take care of emergencies when you are an emergency yourself must have been tuff. Sorry you had to go through that.

I hope today ends on a better note.
The rest seem to be doing normally fine. 11 eggs from 13. Poop watch, nothing of concern that I've seen. :fl Will still do a prophylaxis worming. Not sure about doing the Corid. What do you think?

Basically it. I’m just glad we had plenty of time time get everyone where they needed to be. I would have thought had to have hoped someone would have returned my animals if they made it. I would have better luck with my goats than I would my ducks or chickens. Though I only know one person in the area that has Calls so that should be pretty easy too…if they weren’t to fly too far anyway. And then catching them would be interesting 🤣. I hope you all continue to stay safe!!
Oh! I must have missed your post about the tornadoes. I hope your family are all O.K.

At least though he isn’t scared. My niece was chased by my “dads” rooster and she is now scared of EVERY chicken. I did get her to pet my little Cochins though. I’m glad that your chickens though have break from the little one! 😊

I’m still stuck on my 2nd bag. For the life of me I can not figure out what is going on with my sewing machine. I think I’m gonna try to just add material to the inside of the bags to see if that would at least help.
My cousin's grandson came to visit our chickens. He screamed hysterically the entire time. He's 3 and loves them at play farms and in books and on t.v. Ferdy just stood looking at him like "wierd small human".

Is your machine still bunching the bobbin thread? Mine is and I read it might be to do with the thread uptake lever. Of course I can't find the article now but it was something like the hook timing being off? Might be worth looking into? I'm going to as I've exhausted everything else!

What is happening with your machine? I am finding that my needle had to be changed, so now I'm using one for denim. Also, the bag doesn't want to advance evenly, so have had to guide it through. I might try putting masking tape or something on the bottom of the foot and on the plate for more traction.et us know how the material works. Of course, I won't be making them again until summer or later. One handed won't work too good.
I honestly can’t remember what needle I put in but I know I changed it and did a little looking before I started. Like I changed the needle a few months ago, I just knew that I would be doing the bags before anything else. I may try a different one but the needle should have been enough. 🤷‍♀️ And yes I have to guide mine as well. I hope your healing is fast!

Poor kiddo, and of course chickens. 😂

It is. I have seen that as well. The only problem is I haven’t had problems fabric. It’s a brand new machine too. I have 2 (honestly could even be 3) other machines. But one of them is from my Aunt who passed away and her machine keeps breaking needles. I haven’t had the time to work on fixing that one. I can’t remember what was wrong with the other either. I remember it starting out ok but then something (can’t remember) went wrong. I have such bad luck with sewing machines. My mom has had hers since I was a kid. Even ok, even my grandma’s sewing machine hated me. She used it until she passed away and I got it. Plugged it in and the dang needle would just go all crazy. 😭😭

Think good idea. I like to deworm regular in the summer when they slow and the winters when they slow. Then follow up with yogurt and vits. It is like you get a whole new flock. I don't think corrid would be a terrible idea, just don't do them too close together as corid blocks and wormer takes. Lots for chickens to go through but very manageable with some recovery time.

@Gammas Bearded Babies is the seamstress so I hope she chimes in.
My limited experience is . Make sure machine is cleaned and oiled, thread matches and machine is correctly threaded and then adjust from there.

For me- most times is because machine needs oil or not properly threaded.
