DH went to park to watch the community Easter egg hunt. I went back to bed. Amoxicillin is not touching my ear infection yet. Will make a doc appointment tomorrow.

I did! I’m sorry you have an ear infection :-( Those are the worst!! Hope the doc gets it all fixed!

Chicks first ever day outside! The weather here finally got nice enough today to let out babies explore the outside today. We brought them all to their new run and stayed with them while they played around and dug and ate. They were so darn cute when any one of them found a worm she would get SO excited which would then alert her sisters and the chase was on! Well knowing you and how much you like to sit still—it definitely sounds like your body is not feeling great! It’s good you listened to your body and rested! I wish I’d fit in a nap! I’m exhausted

What a nightmare. The dyna looks to have caught a lot of possible moths and hopefully mosquitos. Don't see how it could not I had it in prime mosquito real estate near the nest box. Time to order more sticky tape!

Quiet morning here. Added baking cocoa, cinnamon and milk to my coffee and feeling quite decadent as I sip it!

Spring yard cleanings going well but still not done. The tortoise/goose area is about 2000 square feet and needs periodic cleaning. I raked up piles in there the other day and today I get to pick them all up and dump them. I have a bunch of tree branches in there I need to haul out and pile for chipping too. Then I'll have more raking to do.

Trying to decide if I want to bring Rowan out for part of the time. She does well while I'm raking, but wheel barrow work is probably too risky with her following after. O she's a fun little thing though! It's tough for solo babies...wish at least one other egg had been good . Picked up 7 more goose eggs from my friend last week but still waiting to see if any are viable. She had 12 in the nest but the other 5 were already bad, so not too hopeful. Goosebumps is still avoiding baby Rowan...but she's at least coming near me while Rowans out now. She just does her very best to keep a couple feet away from baby at all times. Never met a sillier or more timid goose!

Ahhh sounds like a suhc a sweet baby! Sort of like Aria's new favorite baby...Wilhelm the Screamer. He has been very depressed since Taunus died, and now seems to have a stuffy nose. I'm treating everyone for thrush because they are all stuffy and sneezy after the last rains. So much cold, windy weather with wet soil. Anyway, Wilhelm is clearly happier inside with us than outside with other chickens and when we put him in with George the rooster we intended to buy, Wilhelm would sleep under George's hackle feathers at night like he used to with Taunus. I have never had a more timid rooster!! He's just the sweetest boy and seems soooo much happier in my lap than anywhere else!

I need to Spring Clean in the yard so badly, but I just can't seem to get up the energy to do it. Good for you for getting the work done!! But keep a good eye out for spiders!! Maybe next weekend after a normal week of busyness we can finish up the EZ Frame Coop and that will motivate me. I am still really beat from visiting my Mom--she has horrible pillows and an old mattress and I am getting too old for bad pillows! I know now what she needs for Christmas!!

Definitely no spiders! I tend to wear dresses most of the time...they keep me cooler in our heat. But maybe it's time to give jeans another try. Nah...I'm sweating just thinking about it! But I am wearing gloves these days! And I'll never sit in the dirt again I think!

The timid ones do seem to always end up sweethearts don't they? Bet Aria's part of why he likes indoors...company that doesn't peck him, gentle hands and lots of treats I'm betting!

Is everything drying up nice there now? Can't wait to see the ez frame build finished

March 13th was national nap day. Can we claim a raincheck if we missed it? Seems like a better idea to stagger that day out anyways as does not seem like a great idea having the whole nation taking a nap on the same day... or does it?
