What did you do with your flock today?

We hit 99 yesterday! Last night was still delightfully cool though so we're not into full heat yet.
Still sipping coffee here and getting ready to go walking. I can hear the birds singing outside and soft little chirrups from the brooder. Wonderful start to the day

Sounds lovely and just about right
Love the sounds of your walk. I have gotten out of the habbit, miss it and need to get back at it. For the meditation alone it is terrific but so much more ♡

Oooo...such a bundle of perfection! Nothing smells as good as a newborn baby...well, as long as the diapers clean! Beautiful outfit and even more beautiful little one! Congrats grandma!

Was going to get pics of the oegb babies today but got sidetracked. Here's the new hatchery littles though. All are vigorous and feisty already but one. One of the hamburgs isn't eating yet so going to work with it tonight. The rest are so curious and extremely bold babies. I reach in and they zoom up to snatch the food. They're already taking spy jumps too to see what else there is to the world. Every now and then I'll hear a chick get upset, and when I check I see they're grabbing each other's toes trying to eat them They're tiny terrorists already! Definitely going to have to spend a lot of time just watching them...infinite entertainment . Had to cover them in a basket for a bit to get them to hold still for a pic. Here they are in that quiet, half asleep moment when the light comes back.
