Gotta love kitties My little chi Tucks been beating me up for treats. Little dolls getting chubby though so I started giving him a sealed treat bag instead. He plops down next to it, tries to bury it etc. Didn't get even one bite and he's happy as a clam! Hopefully he'll stay that way and go back to being happy with just his actual meals and an occasional treat!

That sounds so sweet ♡♡♡ Mo'o, the only semi phat one is a treat monger. Funny how he went from starving to picky in just a few weeks lol. My other cats are thinner than I like with the exception of "Maka po" Mochi who can not get the exercise the others do. Thanks to our sketchy supply lines I have become a catfood and snack hoarder lol

Got pictures of the oegb babies today! Their growing like weeds and I'm still loving the dynamics going on in the flock. These are still some of my favorite birds.

The Java boy is doing ok. He's even wilder then my girl! Don't think he was used to being able to move around vertically. He's been sticking to the ground and panicking easily. Today he finally moved upwards and seems much calmer for it. He can get up high enough I can't reach and it seems to be giving him peace.

He even came down to check out treats and let me fairly close without panic

A little of both? But mostly current affairs. I think shipping can get prioritized for what gets shipped and catering to the visitors comfort, not real island life... pretty rude IMO. So, I started ordering from Amazon because we literally had a shortage, hardly any cat food on any store shelves but even Amazon was dropping my orders. Think it was a metal shortage from China... ?but even crunches were sold out and I had to switch brands a few times. So I became a cat food hoarder lol. My kitties did not go without but I did get nervous for more than a few months.

It has not been a bad way to go! I order canned food of course but also the Blue cat treats that are 2x as much @ Pet Smart. So pleased. And then can skip if price is bad or overstocked. Plus free shipping. For us, can't beat that.

So many bugs! I've been wondering how well they work with flies?
Talking of insects, DH spotted a ground beetle crawling over our living room rug. He's a bit squeamish about bugs so i daren't tell him it's probably a mealworm that's escaped and pupated in the house

I don't think these work very good on flies at all so far. Lots of moths and other weird beetles .

Today was a great day. Had a good meet with Koke'e vendor when she brought me empty bags. Love people who do good works and help to inspire.

Sewed most all of the day and got a lot done. Enjoyed being close to the flock as I miss the connect when I am away.
They gave me 15 eggs. I took some time for a few compost bug hunts and even caught them a few lizards that they promptly lost. Lucky lizards. I sat under the big trees and pet Forest and then Mo'o while watching the chooks forage deep into AJs yard. Today just had a nice rhythm to it and I appreciated it. The last few days prior had some kinks in them so that just makes a day like today feel that much better.

I'll be happy if he's just calm when I'm around...lol. My girl was raised with lots of tlc ands wild none the less, but she's calm when I'm around...just doesn't come up to me like my other birds. She keeps a little distance and waits for me to move off before she comes to get treats. He's much calmer today though and I was really happy to see him moving around up high instead of hugging the ground acting scared. Think it's good for his mental state to feel unreachable. The javas are supposed to be wilder then the India blue...from my tiny, limited experience I'd say that's very true. Anyhow...there's a little progress today.
