What did you do with your flock today?

What a feast for your chickens! Love it!
Poor little guy sounds like he's trying to find a home there! Easier if he wasn't a roo. Good luck with him.

Wow wow wow...your running full steam! 🤣❤️
Adorable everything...don't you love the little mountains the ducks build?
I still haven't bought a companion for our goat Mina. Having her and our horse Jazz keep each other company seems to be working. Id love to get a little boy and have babies again, but truth is I just shouldn't anymore. I might pass before my goat 🤣. So hoping for lots and lots of baby goat pictures from you! 🥰
I do actually, but I’m like…seriously, by the nest box I put in for you, can’t put it in there. Oh well. It is actually really neat to see what they do. I need to check the eggs tonight but I’m not sure how well it will go. I get close to the door to their house and she is trying to hiss at me. I don’t even have ANY idea how many she has under her. Not a clue. I left it alone and didn’t touch it. But now I need to know and make sure they are doing good.

At least your goat has a friend and your horse has a friend. I will be posting lots of baby pictures when and if I get them. I honestly am not even 100% sure she is pregnant….and trying to figure it out seems to be getting more complicated the more I read. Maybe I’m just reading too much into it or just not understanding what I’m reading. Unfortunately she is skittish so I can’t just feel her belly. 😔

I deserve some Angry emojis for this. I made a terrible mistake and let my chicks go without water overnight. I saw that their watering cup was dry at 9:30 this morning when I went out to check them. There was water in the cup yesterday evening when I checked them for the last time, but that's no excuse. I need to make sure I check and refill the 2 gallon watering bucket on a regular basis, maybe every 3 or 4 days.

When they finally got their water, they were definitely thirsty, and drank constantly for several minutes. Do you think the stress of temporary dehydration will cause any permanent ill effects?

Did they all make it ok? 🤞

I’m sure they’ll be fine! It’s a good reminder to not depend on fill it and forget it systems. I am really a scatterbrain. I use open buckets and old fashioned feeders where I can easily see the level of the pellets. I just don’t trust myself to check something weekly or bi monthly or whatever. Especially as I get older I tend to go on autopilot a lot. 😊

Glad they r all ok! It happens. Just glad u caught it when u did!
Me too! I finished enclosing the other half of my coop today and gave the chicks some extra space. They can launch off their roost and fly 8 feet to the other end now. I think they enjoy it! And they have plenty of water now, too. LOL
