What did you do with your flock today?

Ahhhh! Sweet kitty brought you a present!
I only go so many hours till I think of @kurby22 post and a grateful shudder runs down my spine 😂
That Forest kitty is everything a kitty should be, I am so grateful for him every second of every day. My other cats are like, what the H ?! Probably grateful that he is not attacking them.

I got to spend a little with Ms Godiva with a half of a breakfast egg muffing that were made for us. I would rather give mine back to the pet chickens. Rosie and Ms Godiva shared one. Rocky needs a whole one when I go out later if Ma didn't take one out when she went to check water supply. May can sneak one out to Shuster my beloved Easter Egger rooster that is such great guy around the farm. Never a minutes trouble out of him.

Well, piggy hasn't poo'd since he came inside. So he really needs to go outside where he can move enough and relax enough to do his business. Will take some experimenting to figure out how to give adequate water that he can't spill to make his own wallow but I'll figure it out. Might have to use multiple cement bowls and refill often.

It's too bad because otherwise indoor was working well and sure makes treatments so much easier on both of us. 😕

Thought you guys might enjoy this. Friend brought me a crossbeaked chicken to try helping. Here she is while still at her home.

Started taping her over night to align the beak. First tape job with moleskin.

Modified tape the next night to keep her from removing it. Switched to PT tape and it stays on the beak great.

Beak alignment after a few days. Shes very grey here because I dusted her with DE.

Wish I had know about this before I lost my most loved scissorbeak pulled a while back. If I had taped her like you did my may could have saved here. She had more out of alignment problems that here beak I think. Her keelbone didn't line up either. She may have had more problems internally not visible. She never laid an egg but was a pet like I had never had before. She loved to keep me company.

My pet house pullet made it into her kennel by herself and will soon get the run of the house as soon as her diapers get here. She is on the nest right now laying. I want a new porch coop for the misfits I love so much that will protect them from the bullies and night time predators. Ma has said build it. We will be screening the porch in to to protect us from those mini predators that steal our blood.

I've never tried chicken diapers. Looking forward to hearing how it goes! Lucky little girl ❤️

Maybe one day things will slow down 🤣 one day….

Anyway been trying to keep everyone cool the last 3 days. I lost our oldest RIR, Rose yesterday. I have NO idea why. There was 5 bowls of water and I took food out that would have kept them cool and hydrated. And honestly didn’t look like she was dehydrated. I think it was heat and laying an egg. Because she was laying where they typically lay eggs. She will be missed.

Everyone else kinda seems to be doing ok. This is the last day for us and honestly I’m over 120 degree weather. Love the summer, just not this kind of heat. And yet I’m canning…canning…canning…and just dropping sweet. But the veggies are not going to be waiting for me.

My duck hen is still on 4 eggs and a chicken hen on…well I have no idea what she has now.

You can find them on Walmart's website and Etsy I'm told. Don't know where she ordered from and she's looking for patterns so she can sew more. She said something about maybe Pinterest may have patterns posted but if so she has not said so.
