Been trying to give the littles some free range time in the evenings—they really love it. Kids do too

Shadow got home last night from his last vet visit! All his shots, neutered, and microchipped. He’s seriously so happy to be inside with his people. I picked the worst ratter ever And I just had to share “playtime with Koda” because his desperate eyes pleading for help just make me giggle everytime I look at it

Also took some glamour shots of a few of the teens to study for possible shows/breeding. And sold 5 of my illegally hatched d’Anver babies to a local lady. Felt good to make her happy and anxiety inducing for me what if I have her the BEST show bird

That photo has made my day already! His beautiful blue eye makes him look slightly shocked too.
Shadow looks totally blissed out to be a house cat. You never know, he still might be a decent ratter in his spare time.

I've never had prickly pear, what's it like?

I'd describe it as a cross between watermelon and strawberry for flavor. It has to have a lot of citric acid added so the jelly varies a lot depending on if people use lemon juice or citric acid. I tend to use a little lemon and a lot of citric acid trying not to alter the flavor much.

I do have a new pet. One of my RIR pullets that hatched in mid April climbed up on the JD Riding Tractor today with me and rode with me for awhile. I stopped and she got on my shoulder and sang me pretty chicken songs. I hope she will keep it up and become a lap chicken that will keep me company on the porch.

Hehehe I know, such a funny dog! His blue eye definitely makes him look shocked. He has one of those faces that just looks so genuine and silly

Yes, Shadow gets quite annoyed when we put him outside for the evening. He still has potential (I mean Koda manages! But he’s made it clear house cat is more his preference I need to get another good cat box for him, so until I do that he needs to go back outside and he is NOT okay with it. He is going to require some more supervision before he can around the chickens outside too. He thinks they’re great fun to bat at and play with

Today a chicken got spooked by him and landed on Koda

This was after Aria harassed her with the HAT.
