Mine love cilantro and radish tops. I grow small trays of cilantro year round for them and sprout radish seeds in winter, amongst many other seeds. They're not so keen on the actual radish itself, thoughEven though the feeder has enough layer pellets to last a couple of weeks, I went down and bought another bag. So the chickens are set for food until mid February.
I took a look at the grocery store loading dock and saw three banana boxes of produce scraps. Got home and sorted through them all. Celery, cilantro, citrus, radishes and rotting stuff went to the compost pile by the woods. The rest will be for the chickens to enjoy.
I chopped up some cabbage and leaf lettuce for them this morning, plus a couple of tomatoes and some green seedless grapes. After gorging, they're resting and soaking up some sunshine.
Filled up the wire feeder that's in their secure run so they have fresh stuff to pick on at all times. I started out by filling it halfway with cabbage, then a layer of apples, and topped off with curly dark green kale.

Great idea layering up different veg in their feeder!
