My brother to take care of them while I'm in Florida for a week; otherwise, they'd've starved because NOTHING would have stopped me from getting out of Indiana.

For my 18 girls, a 15 lb. watermelon. They were looking like little piggies flinging pieces in the air.

Last night we had a crab feed for Christmas eve along with present opening at midnight.

Today, the chickens got the crab lungs and guts for breakfast and now I need to go clean up the mess and give them some hot cereal.

Every year I get them a giant box of 4000 crickets. The noise for the next week is worth it.

It really is a gift for me, hahaha.

I gave mine some canned corn, that i got on sale for 18 cents a can!!(4 cans) It's not fresh corn on the cob.................but it's also December in New England!! I also tossed out a piece of brownies that didnt get eaten last night. They went nuts for it, but I dont like to give them sweets.

Finally, I gave them a head of lettuce that I "was" going to give it to the rabbit.........but the rabbit ended up with all the greens left over from the shrimp-ring the sister in law brought. Seeing that I not a huge fan of the rabbit - but I tolerate it for my daughter, my chickens got the lettuce before she decided to waste it on the rabbit.

The goats got a head of cabbage and the dogs all got an egg with their food.

Yeah, we don't go crazy with the "special occasion" treats since they pretty much get them year round.
