My chickens got:
a nice bag of scratch
6 heads of Managers Special Romaine Lettuce
their waterers filled with some warm Pine Needle Tea
their favorite Minced Garlic Yougurt
My Pigeons got:
a bowl of hot peas and corn
They also got a present to share.
Homemade Bath Salts

1-2 tbs per gallon. Mix into 1 cup of hot water and add that to your bath water. @ 1-2 tbs/gallon, The birds can take a drink or two without any ill effects. My grandmother puts 1tbs of borax in her bird baths to rid the wild birds of bugs in hopes that it will keep her chickens parasite free.
It leaves their feathers silky soft, is good for their skin, brightens white birds super white, and doubles as a flea/lice/mite dip.
My recipe consists of
2 cups Borax
1 cup Epsom Salt
1 tbs Baking Soda
1 tbs Sea Salt (that Himalayan Pink Salt looks pretty)
1 tbs Hydrated Lime (Powdered Limestone)
Optionally added for Aromatherapy
1 tsp powdered ginger/cinnamon/sage/rosemary/basil/oregano/juniper berries
or
1 tbs VetRX or essence of lavender/rose/vanilla/etc
Try it out, your birds will thank you for it.
