What did your chickens do today?

I never knew they lived this long. Can you believe she even laid another egg for me today...2 in a row..She's amazing! I read somewhere even 20yrs old, but didn't think her cycles would keep up at this age...LOL

The composter almost got the bananas, but I cut them out and pitched them out and those girls ate em up! The Crows were waiting to get a few for themselves, but LaLa and ChaCha were having a feast.

Oh, yes !4 REAL years...she's a happy girl. Madonna's cycle kicked in after our last October girls arrived and when they were old enough she decided they were the ones she could hang out with. She is showing off for them, since they are only 8months now.

we had a storm this afternoon,so the girls and the roo JR(named after JR EWING ) was just in and out all day.Eating treats and just hanging about.hope sun shines tomorrow so run will dry out some. But I think they are liking their little mud puddle.they seem to use it to wash their feet.

today my chicks discovered that they can fly out of the coop when i'm giving them fresh water

and we live in the city and my neighborhood has lots of cats (so the cats came RUNNING ) finally i got them all back in the coop safely
LOVE my troublesome birds

Pigpen fell asleep with his head in my hand
400

Found out he did NOT eat the earring lol we found it on the floor. And Lucy just jumped literally six feet in the air and started flapping her wings and ended up on top of the fridge! Lol

I went out and sat with my chicks today. One of my four week old Buff Orphingtons took up her place in my lap, and soon found a perch on my arm.

I had to give her attention or she would hop down and back up again. The Buff Orphs are by far the most friendly of all of my chicks. And the youngest.
