What did your chickens do today?

I have a question for you all. I cannot keep all of those chickens lol what category would I put them under on Craigslist where I could find four of them a good home? I don't want someone getting them for the wrong purpose :(

We are overrun with grasshoppers this year. Today I caught one in my laundry room and gave it to my 5 girls who will be 2 weeks old Sunday. Too funny! Every time it jumped they jumped, flapped their wings, and peeped very loudly:) Finally the RIR got brave and has been making "drive by" pecks at it, but so far it is still alive. This could be hours of fun for them! I sure am hoping they develop a taste for grasshoppers....they'd never go hungry this year!

I'm in Illinois and they are about four months old. I'm sure one is a rooster and almost sure the other three are hens.

I got on Craig's list for the first time last night lol they did have a pet section for this area but I didn't see any other type of livestock etc. I am in Texas so that would be a bit of a drive lol

I found a farm section. I just don't want someone killing them or doing cruel animal testing or whatever some of those freaks out there do to animals :(

Lib, it's a shame I'm so far away. I'd gladly give them a home here with our flock. I hope you find someone who loves their chickens like the rest of us do.

I have another question. (hehe my 6th grade science teacher told me that I'll never learn anything if I don't ask questions, and I took it to heart

) I'm in the market for a incubator. Nothing huge but I want something that has the fan and an automatic turner. Can anyone recommend a good brand. And is it a good idea to purchase a used one? I'm very leery of bringing something in that might have had disease in it.

I like to think the best of everyone, but sometimes you just come across those that wont do you entirely right. If I do buy a used one, is there a sure fire way to disinfect EVERYTHING in it without harming any of the components in it?
