Thanks everybody, I got luck on this , my grandfather bought it all back in 1940 @ $7 an acre, when he passed he left it all to me and my family.... Would never have been able to afford all it otherwise!!!

As for the duck questions, you cant make them use a box, it has to be their choice. A lot of them will never use one. Watch the hens, see where they like to go and put the boxes in that general area will help, but in the end, it's her call, especially on free ranged ones.
Calls can lay most all spring/summer if you continue to pull her eggs for incubation, otherwsie a clutch for her to set will generally range from 8-15 eggs, 12 being a good average.
If you are pulling them for incubation, just collect all week and set every 7 days or so, what I do.
I put them all in on Friday nights, that way they usually hatch on a Saturday when I'm here.

Yeah, get on that. Fertility starts to drop quick after 10-12 days.
You dont really have to have a hatcher either, just use the main incubator, just have to clean it out after the hatch.
I did it that way for years growing up.
No disrespect to Little Giant, but I have never heard of a good one. Everytime I hear people saying, my eggs dont hatch, I ask what kind you have and 9 times out of 10, the say a LG.
I tried one for a hatcher a few years back, and they nuked everything I put in them.... Just my experience with them
Now a Hovabator, they'll hatch a rock!
Can beat an old whiet hen either though
