what do chicks eat?

hey there i am getting chicks in 19 days and i was wondering what they eat?

you can get chick starter from a local feed store. Mine is just called chick starter. I don't do medicated, but that is your personal opinion. what breeds of chickens are they? How exciting!
 
Yup, go with a chick starter. I found a corn and soy free non-medicated organic chick starter. The pieces are ground up smaller so baby chicks can eat it. They should eat starter for the first 6-8 weeks, then can switch to grower, which is in larger pieces, then when they start to lay, you can keep feeding them the grower and just give them oyster shells for calcium, or switch to a layer feed which has extra calcium added.
