What do eggs sell for?

I'm in upstate NY and my chickens will start laying sometime this summer. I'm trying to figure what I can/should charge for a dozen around here.

I'm in ny and they don't sell here. Nothing sells here everyone wants free stuff here. Last dozen and a half I got was $2 raising chickens to sell eggs is kinda a waste of time. Now I sell fertile eggs only. That I do through eBay. I'm not from upstate ny though maybe your have better luck

Take a gander at your local craigs list and/or facebook buy/sell/trade pages and you'll begin to get an idea of the local rate - - it really can vary a lot from one locality to the next.

There's nothing really right near me.... There's stuff 30minutes or so from me and they get $2-$4 a dozen.... I live about 20mins from Albany, NY. Im mostly just trying to figure out what people are willing to pay. I was thinking somewhere around 3.50 without a carton and 3 if you bring one... Idk. Just pondering. Haha

30 minutes from you is close enough to use for comparison and makes the price point you are considering seem reasonable.
