What do goats eat?

I keep my chickens, ducks, and pair of geese in with my two goats. The only thing is I cannot allow any chicken feed to be left out, otherwise the goats will vacuum that stuff up faster than you can inhale! I have to leash my girls at feeding time, but that allows me to give them each a bowl of food separate from each other so there isn't any competition for feed. The chickens get food twice a day (as do the goats) in a pan on the ground when the goats are securely tied and can't get to it.

I've only had goats since June of last year, so I can't be of much help other than saying do your research! Read read read, and then when you're tired or reading and don't think you can pack any more information into your brain, read some more! You can never do enough research. A HUGE plus would be getting tips and things from people that own goats, or have owned them. They're escape artists. They can trample a fence if they feel like it. Spend some time being mobbed by a couple while someone helps you learn how to handle them and stuff. Hands-on experience will be good to acquire too.
