Ok I’ve checked the stickies and some forum posts, but can’t seem to find the answer. I have 11 welsh harlequin eggs incubating. Day 25 is this Friday. What do I do once they start hatching? How long do they stay in the incubator once they’re up walking around? Just until dry? Can I open the incubator quickly to take out hatched ones if others are still hatching? I have a brooder ready to go, I’m just not sure how long they need to stay inside of the incubator post-hatch. Thanks!

You should wait until the chicks are completely dry. Wait for as many to hatch and become dry as possible. When/if you take them out you should do so when no other chick is far into the hatching process, so if there are other eggs in the incubator you can take the DRY chicks out, but if some chicks are wet or still hatching you should wait for them.

Hello...:frow
I remove them to the Brooder once they find their legs or they knock all the other eggs around. They dry Best in the Brooder one piddle pads or paper towel for 24 hours.
Mirror to cuddle to as the others hatch out..:frow
