I can almost understand if you want to be sure an egg is still viable on Day 23 or 24, and there is no way to candle it. Day 21 is not the day to mess with eggs.
Once you stop turning day 18, if you can candle you place them so the lowest part of the air cell is facing the ceiling; if you can't candle you let them rest in whatever position they come to rest in and hope for the best. From that day until at least 24 hours after hatch is due, the chick is trying to get into position to hatch if it's still alive, and moving it can interfere with that.
