What do I do?

This pigeon landed in my yard and has been there for four days, what should I do?

Feed it? Water? Look around for pigeon clubs around you, put up posters?

That’s a domestic pigeon, catch it and bring it inside. Domestic pigeons don’t do well on their own in the wild and are much more vulnerable to predators than wild pigeons.

You don't provide much info. Can pigeon fly any?? Can you catch, and handle??
There are no leg bands, so pigeon is not identifiable to ownership. May be feral, or a runaway.
A single pigeon can be an indoor pet. They do bond to people. Are somewhat trainable also.

I’ve never seen a feral pigeon with eyes as light as that. It looks like some sort of high flyer?

What I call feral,,,, are pigeons that are out there in the wild side of the city,,,, and all the escapees that join them.
I had quite a few escapees from my loft in past years. They probably joined the feral flocks that I know of which are within 3 miles of me. When I do view the feral flocks, I can see an assortment of different ones. Still wonder if any of those are mine???

It looks young, or maybe it's malnourished, or molting. It's a domestic and would make a good pet for someone. Even crippled wild ones can turn into happy pets. I have a crippled wild pigeon who has lived solely on that for years. She was young when I caught her, and wouldn't eat anything but the millet out of wild bird seed. Only tiny seed. I repeatedly tried to get her to eat oil sunflower, whole corn, pigeon peas, etc. Forget it! She LOVES the parakeet seed, and it is fortified.

They also need grit. I use beach sand, since she came from the beach flock, and you see them pecking in the sand all the time. Red pigeon grit or any small bird grit would work, though.
