What do I feed my chickens?

Looking to get some pullets soon. What should they eat and how much? Cant seem to find basic feeding instructions.

A 50# bag of starter/grower blend unmedicated would be all you need. You can add oyster shells on the side free choice once they start laying for the added calcium or switch them over to layer feed.

My grower blend only comes in crumbles and layer only in pellets but you may have a choice of crumbles or pellets. I like the pellets as they don't waste as much feed. To get pellets I just buy gamebird finisher and supply oyster on the side so only the laying hens eat the extra calcium they need, The roosters and young birds wont touch it, well, wont eat a lot of it.
