What do I have? 🐥

I have 15 FBC Marans. Mostly turning out to be roos. I had three extra surprise eggs to hatch, not sure what they are. One looks like my marans but has a fluffy neck. One is white with a few black tipped feathers and came out of a much smaller speckled brown egg, and then a beautiful blue that I’m praying is not a roo, but have no idea what breed the surprises are! Do you?

The comb size is saying rooster. It has a pea comb so could be an Easter egger or Brahma cross.

That means out of 18 birds more than half are roosters. And the sweetest and friendliest is the blue. Wants to be held all the time.

This helps, the third egg I had with the bird that looks like my Marans came out of an olive egg! I just can’t distinguish it from the rest to add a pic.

Unfortunately, that's the natural order of things. 50-50. It's part of why so many folks buy sexed chicks from hatcheries. At least then it should be somewhere around 90-10.
