My chickens are all approx. 7-8 weeks old.

I have no idea what this little chicken is. I'm thinking rooster, but as to what breed, I have no clue. He(?) has much less feathers at this point than the rest of the flock who I bought at the same exact time. He's going through an awkward stage, but I think he'll be pretty when he grows up. Up until about a week or so ago, he looked solid black.

A neighbor told me the reddish girl there is a RIR, but I'm not sure. Thoughts? My husband seem to think the one in the middle is an Americauna. Is he right?

The lighter one in this photo is extremely soft and flufflier than the rest. Her buff color made me think Buff Orpington, but I am certainly not sure. I have 2 like this.

This little bird is a hair smaller than the rest of the flock. Her feathers are very sleek and smooth. She was a completely black chick, but now has gray mottled in among her black. She's very pretty for being at the awkward age.

I posted his(?) picture here before. I'm thinking this may be a male. He was a yellow & black speckled baby. I was thinking he might be a SLW, but the markings on his feathers seem off for that breed. But again, I'm so new at this.

I'm pretty certain this is a hen, but I have no idea what kind of chicken she is. I have 2 that look like this.

I'm looking forward to hearing all of your opinions!

Thanks!

1st looks like a GLW
Light colored is a BO
Black one is a Barred Rock Female
Slw for the next to last
Easter Egger for the last one.

Your Red ones are Production Reds not Rhode Island Reds.

Chris

The first one isn't a true golden laced wyandotte, they are suppose to have a rose comb. No clue what it is.

I think the first one may be a black sex link (Black Star)
I agree with the rest here and think that the other is a production red

Looking back over it, I think you are correct leg color doesn't match a true GLW.

I'm seeing a black sexed link, a RIR and a Buff Orpington in the first few pics. Don't know about the others.

Yes, my GLW comb is a rose comb and she is 7 days old today. The color is very similar to GLW, perhaps there is a good portion of GLW in your chick. Your dark red one is a rhode island red. The lighter one looks like a golden comet or gold sex link. You have a beautiful flock.

. It does look like you have a SLW though.
