you didnt need the incubator lol use one of those rir hens they go broody easy and make great mothers

there are areas in the brooder that are cooler (dont have the light shining) and places that do. so if they are cold they will go under the heat lamp, and huddle up. if they are hot they will try to stay as far as possible away from it
