What Do I Not Understand About Corn Scratch?

I bought a bag of rooster feed very similar to that pictured- though it had lots of field peas as well- and my birds won't eat the big stuff- whole corn field peas etc.
Does it just take some time to get used to? I would want to say this is more like whole feed than scratch, which I don't use at all.

That is Knockout Game Feed by Faithway Feeds that I pictured above. It is like chicken cocaine to my crew! They love it, always have. It is really a rooster feed and my crippled rooster, Zane, eats it as his sole feed since he has no women with him.
