What do u feed a rooster?

I'm only familiar to hens, but what are u supposed to feed a rooster considering they can't eat layer feed because of the calcium.

Most people feed them layer feed, because it's convenient. If you have a separate rooster pen, I'd feed flock raiser or game bird, something without the added calcium. Once a chicken is mature, there is no proof that I know of that calcium harms them - but it's possible that it's rough on their organs; it only makes sense to me. Many people choose to feed something like flock raiser or even grower to the whole flock as their regular feed. Some people do this because they frequently have baby or young chicks in the flock. But I personally believe it would also benefit any rooster. Of course if you do this, there needs to be oyster shell (or another calcium source) available in a separate container for the egg laying hens.
