    I like them and think they are cool looking. Very calm birds not flighty or panic prone. Good layers. They ar e BIG birds. Could be good dual purpose but I only have 4 Turkens so we wont be eating them.
    I recommend them.

    They are very nice birds, both in personality and egg/meat production. Some people like the fact, less plucking when butchering.

    They are my favorite breed, am reducing my chicken flock down to just few birds.. out of all breeds, it is turkens I am keeping. Silkies, longtails, marans etc- byebye!

    I like them. They have good dispositions, and they lay big eggs and a lot of them.

    They aren't as ugly as in the pics, once you get to know them. [​IMG]

    For me they were like grapefruit . . . after the first bite I thought, "Oh, gross, who eats such disgusting stuff!?" But by the end of the grapefruit I thought it was one of the best things I'd ever eaten.

    Not that I'm peeling my chickens and going at them with a serrated spoon . . .
