Our neighbors are pretty far away so I don't think he will be a problem. There is a rooster two houses down and I can barely hear him.
He seems to have a very calm demeanor and watches over the pullets even at this age. He's not as pecky as the pullets and when I refill their water, he lets them drink first. As long as he doesn't get mean, he'll have a home.
At what age do they start to show their disposition?

It is a Barred Rock cockerel. If you go back and look at the first pictures, he has the white spot on his head and he has the barring coming in just as he should. He is a little dark for a cockerel, but the comb and face are definitely boy.
