so trisha what have you decided? is it going to be a little silke or a polish? i didnt even think of the polish idea but its a good one given how timid they can be.

I'd go with Polish too. My lil buff laced roo is so shy. I've never seen him pick on any of the other chickens. They are always taking shots at him. I offer him to you because I don't really need him but I just treated everyone for lice and worms. I wouldn't want to send any yucky stuff your way.

Well, I FINALLY got in touch with the lady that had the silkies and every single one of them was gone. She gave them to a couple of kindergarden teachers. She said I only wanted one and they wanted them all so it worked out better for her that way.

I'm ok with it though because when I asked her why she was wanted to rehome them she said it's because she sells the eggs and her 2 hens laid enough eggs for her to sell so she didn't need the other 8 chickens. What??? Does that make since to anyone? More chickens means more eggs which means more feed money.

I just found another lady on craigslist who has silkie eggs in the bater and she said she should have some babies in 3 weeks!!!!!!

Now should I get 2 since I may be getting babies? I'll probaby raise them outside with Tiny since it's so freakin hot.

hmmm... sounds like you are getting the silkies. I don't know how Shag would turn out for Tiny. I assume he would want(and try) to do what every male wants to do but I was also thinking he may end up also being a good guardian for her as well.
Anyway you go, I think, like you, some kind companionship will be good for her. Good luck with it! -Lynn
