What do you bait your traps with....

Best ready-to-use bait I've ever found is sardines packed in oil. Just open the can and put it in (or better yet, under) the cage. catches lots of other varmints too

I use eggs to trap possums. They love them and I have lots of outdoor cats that have never gone into a trap with eggs. rofl

Best I've found yet was a can of sardines in oil under the trap, cover the trap and set it where they're travelling (along fencelines for mine) then make sure they can't move the trap or anything. I got almost all my problem coons in a three day period, but I also put down some hog wild around the area because its sweet smelling. Got the big boar that was rutting my yard up too.

I've always used a couple of spoonfuls of jelly. Caught 9 in a week last year.

I snagged 3 this week with lunch meat, bologna and olive loaf. I did not have many marshmellows so I went with something that has some smell to it. Hot dogs work too.
