Rainy weather? Cold? Sunny? TV all day?

A perfect lazy day for me consists of warm, sunny weather, sitting outside watching the ducks, chickens, turkeys. Not cooking, not cleaning, a little TV here and there. Maybe getting a few minor chores done if I feel like it but not worrying about it if I don't.

When everything is done, and I can relax.......don't really know what one feels like...hasn't happened yet!

Everything is never done..so when I reach a point where I decide to just let it slide for a day, I read. And read. And drink coffee. And read.

My wife gave me one two weeks back. It was a saturday morning, and she turned off all my alarms, took my cell phone out of the room and closed the shades. How she kept 8 kids quiet I have no idea...

I woke up around 11:30 to the smell of fresh coffee, and pigs in a blanket... one of my favorite foods

She sat next to me and gave me a back rub as I tried to inject the caffeine directly into my veins, then I put on a pair of sweats and sat with my younger kids and played video games all day, read a book in the afternoon, and fell back asleep with the wife on one side, my kids snuggled up on the other watching some disney movie. The following sunday I was up at 4am to make ammends, but that was one of the best surprises I can remember.

I know, my wife is wonderful

There is only one place where I can relax and have a "perfect lazy day." That is by the ocean with a paperback in hand. Other than that, I am not very good at relaxing. Maybe it's genetic. My mother was the same way, but she made it to 97 years old and lived on her own till 95.

On a nice day, i'll go out on the pontoon, drop a line, read a book and just let the waves rock me. In the winter, i go out to the fish shanty and do the same thing except, there i listen to the wind.
