What do you do for a living?

I've always wondered what other people who have chickens, are forced to do when they aren't at home loving their birds! LOL.
What do you do for a living? Where do you work?

I am a purchasing manager, (with various other tasks to do) at our family business, Tee-N-Jay Mfg., Inc. We are a precision sheet metal job shop. It's a pretty interesting place actually.

On the weekends I give Saddleseat lessons, and work horses at J. Bennett Farms, at the LA Equestrian center. I love Saddlebreds and I feel so lucky that I am able to get paid to ride them and teach others to ride them!!!

I am a corporate financial CPA. I do numbers, but am most often hired as a handler for owners, auditors, whatever. I am good with people, a skill lacking by many accountants. I guess that makes me a little sharkey--but I am not intentionally so.

I wear a suit, then clean the coop. Take off the heels and dig up a garden potato...

Seriously, if people knew who I was outside work, they would never believe it.

My husband and I farm and have a cow herd so I work here at the farm.

I don't work now, but I used to work in the oil business.....designing these huge plants in oil country. Big money, but boring. I like living on a farm much better. Never a boring minute....especially with my turkeys.
