What do you do for a living?

Currently I am a stay at home dad and head of the household. In my previous life I worked in warehousing. I managed the shipping operations, receiving and operation metrics for a couple of companies. Since the economy has gone south in Michigan, I found myself on a temp layoff around xmas that became a perm vacation in march. By all accounts, it probably saved my life, as I've had a couple strokes at a very young age and will be going back to school in the fall.

I originally went to college for IT/IS and that's what my degree is in, but I've knocked out all the pre-req's for nursing and am waiting to get into the program at U of M. By the time school starts back up I'll be almost 100% back to health

I work in Social Services as a Family Financial Worker. I take care of Health Care, Food Support, Cash Assistance, and Foster Care Health Care for about 120 families. DH works loading semi's at the local sunflower processing plant. Then we go home and take care of our 80 acres of wheat, 20 acres of corn, 24 head of Angus, our chickens, and kids

I am a realtor, only work one day a week in the Century 21 office but "work" about every day in some aspect. Still gives me lots of time off for doing things I love, messing with the Alpacas, our adopted grandson who will be 9 soon. We have dogs and a cat and lots of indoor pets that we love, and are always adding more.
Still chief bottle washer, laundry Goddess, and gardening fool. I like my life. Would like to make a little more regular commissions, been sort of hit and miss the past year and a half, but other than that I really do like my life. I have a lot to be thankful for.
