What do you do for a living?

Wow, If I had to work for my ex I'd starve for sure.

I've been tempted to starve believe me. We're on good terms now, but he forgets sometimes that I'm his ex and thinks he can start swearing and yelling when he's mad about something. I have to occasionally remind him that I'm just his employee now and he can't act that way or I will quit. I resigned when we broke up and I moved out of state but he got so many customer complaints that I was gone, that he actually called me and asked if I'd be willing to telecommute from my home. On the plus side though, I love being able to work from home. Sit there in my PJ's with a headset on. Pretty funny.

I work for the Dept of Labor as a liaisson between the state and local boards that provide training in their local communities. As a public servant I see my role as serving the public who pay my salary.

My masters degree is in applied anthropology which seems a lot more interesting than what I do for a living. Now in my 50's I think I should have been a biologist. However, anthropology gave me the most choice when trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I'm a late bloomer.

I am amazed at how many people here are in the medical field, emergency serices inlcuding law enforcement and teaching. In general it seems most are caretakers of some sort. I wonder what the connection is with chickens.

My husband and I adopted a sibling group of 5 older children from the foster care system 10 years ago. I think the chickens are my reward now the kids are mostly gone. They just won't go away!! Boy that was a job and a half.

You are truly a "public" as well as "private" Servant

What a loving and caring thing to do. This is truly worthy of attention and admiration. You did something fantastic for those children. I'm sure you learned a lot about yourself as well.

My respects to you and your husband.
