What do you do for a living?

I'm a writer. I live on the side of a mountain (low, rolling) and try to come up with stories people want to buy, read, etc.

I'm used to answering questions about it and this is how I usually answer:

  • Yes, I've been in magazines. Small regional parenting types and once for an eye care product magazine.
  • Yes, I blog. Each is behind.
  • Yes, I have a book published.
  • No, I'm not rich. Writer life is 'feast or famine'. I've been sick for the past two years which means it's mostly famine :-D
Sounds interesting. Maybe you need to get the software that records your work into text...

I am a forensic toxicologist and I have been working for a private drug testing company for the last seven years.

I guess I have been dealing with birds most of my life an I still love all of them Though most of then were the man made aluminum birds. I joined the Air Force shortly after graduating from High School and I maintained electrical and electronics systems on B-52s during the Cold War and Vietnam. I got out of the Air Force after 4 years and I have spent the rest of the last 50 years working on and providing support for aircraft. I have made some failed attempts at retirement in the past few years and I hope to be able to retire soon and watch Chicken TV, garden, enjoy backyardchickens.com and enjoy some backyard birdwatching with my wife.
