I know that commercials, ads, etc. focus on the woman in the relationship, but I was wondering what us ladies do for the men in our lives on Valentine's Day?

Last year I made chicken pot pie (homemade) for my boyfriend of 4 years. This is year 5 and I'm lost as to what to do? I mean...you can just go out and buy chocolates, especially if you're both in a diet-scheme together.

SO, what little things have you done to show you care? If you don't participate in Valentine's Day, what do you do to show that special someone that you care about them?

I'll give the one that I did for the 2 year Valentine's Day.

We were both broke, but this was a neat little thing that I thought was really cool:
I bought a bag of chocolate kisses. I also bought pink and red tissue paper. I cut the tissue paper into little squares being sure that the kiss would fit in them. I wrote a little note on each and every piece of tissue paper that was original in itself. No repeats. I did this in permanent marker because the regular tip pen would rip the tissue paper.

I just found a notebook where he glued all of the tissue paper into...

Neither of us are Valentine's Day maniacs, or VD Day as it was known when I was single. We go out and eat sushi as we both love Japanese food, and I think i'm going to make him some homemade ice cream as a surprise. We're both of the opinion that you should be nice to each other year round

From hubby and DD, I would be treated out to eat to a fav resturaunt, got carnations and a Yankee Candle was all I like to have for Valentine's Day.

I used to give hubby before we were married, VD cards, a bag of kisses and his fav resturaunt we go.

And he might get lucky if I am in the mood!
