There is one, ONE, other person close to me selling goats. He doesnt list a price which scares me..
I hate going 'Hiii, yes, Im calling about the goats, yeah, how much are you asking?'

Then he tells me some astronomical price

Chances are the first guy has either sold the goats or isn't in the house all day. Keep trying, as a general rule 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. is okay. If he's a farmer/rancher, call at noon.

Second goat seller? Just call, if he quotes a high price, just say thank you, I don't want to pay that much. Bye. You can always disable your Caller ID for the call.

I was wired to the world for many years. Grew to dislike it, so now, DH has a cell his company pays for, we have a landline with no voicemail and my cell was happily tossed as far as I could throw it. The landline is usually not even plugged in, I like my peace. Pretty much everyone who knows me well knows to email first to ask me to plug in the phone!

my mom dosn't have an answering machine lol Sometimes the cats knock the phone off the hook, so sometimes she is home even though its just ringing haha Just keep calling. If you really want the goats keep calling daily. Eventually someone will answer. He's probably outside a lot if he has a farm

I called that 2nd guy a while ago and left a message (thank goodness!)..
Now I guess its just a waiting game.

I call back throughout different hours of the day. If it's something I really want or a really good buy, then I will call about every hour.

He wanted $500 for 14 goats which is pretty awesome..
..except I dont have anywhere to put 14 goats or $500

There was an answering machine! I was a standard one like it had just been set up!

We dont have an answering machine either. I hate them. We do have cell phones so our theory is anyone that knows us well enough to call us knows to call the cell phones if they cant reach us!

BUT I dont ever post my phone numbers on my for sale ads either lol
