What do you do with an unwanted roo?

First I would make sure that it is a roo at four weeks one of my For sure hens had wattles and a comb I think she was older then the rest when I bought them.
My Number one rule is if it crows or lays I will know for sure. But If you got them for meat and eggs eat him if not sell him or give him to someone who might need a rooster in your area or doa for sale on BYC or just list him as in your area only to a good home.

Just butchered my first one yesterday (i've only done Quail before), it was pretty easy! I had doubts when I captured him, until he bit me...
Tried selling and giving away on CL, no luck.

I'm becoming more open minded to the Freezer Camp idea, it almost seems more humane to spoil him rotten here and then give his life some nutritional purpose, rather than have him suffer with some stranger. Thanks to everyone again for your many veiw points.!!!! BackYardChickens is the best forum!

I've already asked around to the neighbors to see if anyone would want a roo if I get one - this is a farm community so I am sure I can get someone who would like to send him to freezer camp at the least. I am not sure craigslist will work although I'll try that too. I'm a vegetarian.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed I have no roos, but I am sure it's bound to happen.
