What do you do with bucklings??

Thats true, usually at our auction they keep tiny babies in the carrier they were brought in and let the owner show them in the ring. I would keep them till they are a few weeks old before letting them go to the sale barn. But, we live in a tiny community and the sale barn is fiarly clean so I guess my experience is limited

Someone called & they want both bucks! Their kids raised bum lambs one year, she wants these as a summer project for her boys.

That is a HUGE relief (although I would like a bite of cabrito some day)!

This is a really hard topic for many people. I'm with those that would rather have an animal put down humanely (used for food if possible) than to have it live in horrid conditions.

I'm so glad you found a home for them. I'm guessing you will be banding them before sending them off? I don't recommend banding before 8 weeks and later is even better because of the potential of UC in wethers. If the new owners take them earlier help them learn about UC and the benefits of banding later.

Will do, Chirpy. These are little bottle bucks - not old enough for banding. I will look around the 'net for a good care sheet I can send with them. I planned to send bottles, nipples, and a half gallon of milk so they are setup.
