What do you do with the bullies?

does anyone have a uk website for these pinless peepers.

or anyone who could spare me 4-5 i will paypal and pay postage to the uk.

i see in the us you can buy 10 for $5.95

also do they fit bantam hens? i cant see any info on that

they are a lovely idea and would love to get kevin (my wp) one before she end up at auction and someones dinner.

I had one hen who seemed to loose her mind, and would simply home in on one of the others, and then begin pecking. The more the pecked on one moved away, the more the pecker would follow, and it was strange because she just kind of strolled. There was no rush and no sign of obvious aggression, but she was simply obsessed. Well, even though she had not yet caused any real damage, she was irritating the living daylights out of me so I invited her around for dinner. Apart from her nonsense, I've only had one other bully, and that was a hen too. My question is, how come you never seem to get bully roosters. I have far more roosters than I have hens, and not one of them is a bully, and they're all Thai and Shamo fighting cocks? Maybe I've managed to convince them that being a lover is far more enjoyable than being a fighter

And, with my hens, it's the smallest ones which are the worst:lol:

As with everything else, each situation is different. We have had some great "top hens" who just kept the others in line and would get the goodies first, but without too much beating up of the others. Then we've had a few who were really bad - even bloodying the others. Taking them out of their environment for periods of time had mixed results i.e., sometimes it worked, others it didn't.

Our top hen is currently Liberty, a.k.a. Libby. She's an Easter-Egger, very pretty, and she knows it! I have been working with Liberty for about a year now on her aggressiveness...locking her away, scolding her when I caught her being too rough, holding her for a loooong time when I caught her being "fresh"....overall it's made her a little more mild, but I can tell you that she now stops chasing anyone or pecking on them when I yell her name. It's kind of cute because at times I've just called to her across the farm and she looks around nervously like "What?! I'm not doin' nuthin I swear!!!"

I think the bottom line is try a few things, but know that the top hen has her place, and each one is a different as you or I. If you find something that works, post it, I'd love to hear about it.

Good Luck!
