What do you do with your cucumbers?

My DD will probably shoot me for saying this but I think cucumbers are not complete with out vinegar.

Pickles are the cucumbers ultimate goal. Sweet table pickles are best, but dill will do every once in a while for a change.

Not in the mood for picles?

Thin sliced cucumbers soaked in vinegar with some pepper.

DD gobbles them down right from the plant. Ick.

I didn't plant a garden this year, wish I would have now(we are planning on moving). I'm craving cinnamon pickles

I'm going to have to make a trip to our local farmers market to get some cucumbers.

I made the cream cheese, cucumber, tomato and onion sandwiches along with the cucmber "boats" . I had chicken salad in the boats. Lunch was a huge hit today!

Go into Cooks.com and get their recipe for frozen cucumbers. Man-o-live, are they good. I kept mine in the freezer for six months and they were such a treat in the winter. So easy to make. Two of my neighbors really liked them too. Easy to share with lots of cucs in the garden.

this might sound stupid to you but fry them like fried green tomatoes they are wonderful peel them and then fix them the same way.

Oooooh, I saw something recently for making cuke soap, face cream and a summer cooling spray! It was a book I had from the library and I returned it, can't remember what it was. Try doing a google search for skin care you can make at home with cucumber. I love cucumber cooling creams and stuff in the summer... when you're all sweaty, and you want to feel refreshed!

Cucumber Sandwiches! You take bread, put mayo on both halves, slice the cucumber no bigger than half inch rounds, add dill and eat!! Yumm wonderful on a hot summer day!
