What do you do with YOUR eggs?

We eat them, and give them away to friends and family. I just bought the LG incubator so there are 8 of them in there also. I would like to also sell them but I hate asking for money lol. Maybe later on when we get a good bunch gathered up I can put a sign at the end og our driveway, but for now they are freebies lol!!

We will be selling some, eating some, and of course give some away to neighbors and relatives

OH I still have my first egg! I may just do that...blow it out and frame it! I think it's a great idea. I would hang it in the girls house

I'll be sure to take a picture of it. I can't wait to get some eggs! With my luck the EE's eggs will be realllly light and I'll be bummed. I am hoping for a really pretty rich blue-green color

No matter what they look like, I will frame the first. I saw something in a magazine where they took some leftover beadboard for the backing, then a fence post cap for each side and voila - an instant frame. Of course I didn't look at the cost, so perhaps it was really expensive. I haven't painted in a long time and I need a craft project to get my creative juices flowing again!!

Right now we're eating them and treating our critters to scrambled eggs a couple of times a week. Also, no one is allowed to visit without leaving with a coupla dozen.

I only have 2 eggs so far. My leghorn just started laying this week! I am filling up an empty egg carton and we will probably eat them this weekend.

I'm going to crack it open and compare it to the store bought eggs. Then cook them and do a taste test.

I'm deprived....I have never eaten a fresh egg before.

wow....ur in for a teat! As a kid we had so many eggs I didn't eat eggs for the longest time because of burn out. Then I started to want eggs again but the store ones just didn't cut it. I finally bought a home and my daughter must have inherited my chicken crazy gene and insisted we get chickens...she's only 6. Now we eat eggs all the time.

A huge part of convincing my husband having chickens was a good idea was to be able to have fresh eggs nearly every day. Then if we ever get snowed in and can't reach the store for a day or two, we can always have some eggs (hence why I am eager to see what hatches out of my Rhode Island White eggs). So we'll definitely eat them, but probably give some to family, and craft with them when the urge strikes us. My mom makes awesome Pasanki eggs. And if we end up with way more than we can handle, me and my girls will sell them. I've already had a bunch of people ask if we planned on selling, because they'd like to get "farm fresh" eggs. I told them that these will be even better. They'll be "backyard fresh".

we eat pretty much all of our eggs! when i notice the girls have been over to the neighbors i always bring a few over to keep the peace! thankfully the neighbors like the chickens as much as we do!!
