What do you feed your Quail?

protein is like vitamins... what their body can't use just comes out the other end. I give em a 24% minimum until they are 12 to 14 weeks and then no less than 20%.
I do, however mix a vitamin suppliment with their water called D-Mannose... it aids in beating back any GI worms they can get... they get bigger, faster if they take
a good quantity of protein and dont have to share it with parasites... there are medicated starter growers for game birds but i prefer natural prevention...
 
I feed my adult buttons pretty much the same as Gorabbitgo posted. I've noticed the same thing with the Harrison's food as well - also noticed more sheen to their feathers since switching to this brand. For sprouts, mine seem to prefer a combo of alfalfa and broccoli sprouts, but I chop these up because if I don't they tend to swallow them whole with the sprouted end still hanging out of their beak for a while. I also add additional oyster shell to the standard bird gravel mix. Once a week, I'll add a probiotic to their food mix.
