What do you gather eggs in?! Pics?

yeah one of my 11 week old bantams (the one i think is a rooster) actually clucked today they have been peeping like chicks the whole time i had them
aww growing out of the chirpy cute chick stage! so sad when they do that! My two silkie roos started making the roo cry about 4 n half months old

Does it hurt them? Iv not heard of something like this before, dogs yes chickens not so much lol
i just heard of it my self a few weeks ago. And no it looks like it's just a snug collar like you would put on a cat or dog but on a rooster their is video on you-tube of chickens "crowing" with it on. It's very important that i do something to keep that rooster from crowing because i have newer highland park neighbors that don't like the idea of "farm" animals (they actually called the code inspector on us for our grass being to tall). And i don't want to give them a reason to find a way to make me get rid of my chickens like they did with my neighbor down the street (she did have 3 roosters).

ah ok il have to have a look for that. I dont need it atm though. My neighbors didnt like the thought of me having roos but you cant choose what hatches! but I explained to them they would only be around for 6months and the first few months they wouldnt be very loud and they understood which was very helpful! Noone has called the council on us which is lucky as I found out after I got my first three lil chicks I was supoosed to let neighbors know before hand whoops! Egg bribery goes along way,,,lol

Quote: As with all things, it will depend on the individual as well as the breed. I have 2 Black Australorops. One is 'average' for the breed, the other is tall enough she can reach into the 10 gallon metal trash cans I keep feed, BOSS and scratch in. Discovered this when I was tossing scratch out in the run, as I do every night before roost time, and went to put the bowl back in the can. Zorra was standing there munching away! To be fair the bin WAS full, she can reach down only a few inches. I had to shoo her away and put the lid on the can before I tossed the scratch for quite a few days because while chickens aren't the smartest animals on the planet, she had this 'skill' down pat after she made the discovery.
