What do you get when you cross.......

a Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster and a gold laced Wyandotte hen? I have 4 Gold laced and 4 Silver laced pullets, and one little Silver Laced Roo (that was supposed to be a pullet, according to the hatchery where I got the chicks). Wondered what I would get with the Silver/Gold laced cross. Anyone had any like that?

You get Bronze Laced Wyandotte.

I'm kidding, I don't really know. Generally the lighter colors are recessive, so the gold laced pullets will probably hatch gold laced chicks. However, if you breed those gold laced chicks with silver laced, the silver will show in a larger percentage of your chicks.

Again, I don't really know. I'm just kinda guessing.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable will post 'cause I bumped this one up some.
