Update - I bought 2 silver laced wyandotte chicks today. The wife says I must get rid of 2 other ones LOL
 
We only keep one breed; Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks.

Numbers are high this time of year but come late July cockerel culls will be well barbequed. Probably will go into this winter with 8 birds.

You'll have to introduce her to the finer points of chicken math as far as what birds do/don't actually count as part of the total number of birds

ETA - besides, given the unfortunate incident last week you are actually only "up" one chicken, not two.
