What do you have in your run for enrichment?

I got the girls some toys, a mirror, ladder and swing today. They aren’t fancy but they have been having fun with them. Next I need to add some more clutter and build some things for them to hide under but I am not handy and my husband has bad health. Any easy DIY’s you can suggest?

We have a covered doghouse with ash inside for dust baths, an old chair, a pine tree limb for perching, an old toy box, two sets of short stairs (used to be temporary stairs for our house). We also have parked the chicken tractor, that did not work as intended, inside the run.

Your bird toys are cute, but think bigger and taller for clutter, if you have space for it. It helps break up run space if any pecking order issues arise, and chickens like getting up on things.

The best thing I’ve done for chicken enrichment is starting a compost bin they can access and “work”.
